Boil Water Notice Rescinded- S.W. McLennan

On May 17, 2019, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Elm Creek Water Supply Corporation, public water system #1550026, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due conditions which occurred recently in the public water system during the installation of a new valve, the water from this public water system for all of its customers in the affected area of S.W. McLennan Road in Moody, Texas.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water which is distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of May 21, 2019.

Boil Water Notice - SW McLennan Road

Due to a break in a 6" water line on F.M. 107 in Moody, Texas, The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality requires this system, Elm Creek Water Supply Corporation, PWS #1550026, to issue a boil water alert for all its customers in the affected area of S W McLennan Road in Moody, TX. 

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption.  The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then continue to boil for two minutes. 

In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water, or obtain water from another suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, water system officials will notify you when  the water is safe for consumption.  Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.
